The fact that every single one of these has happened exactly like this is really depressing.

And like… do any of you realize how damaging this behavior is to people who just want to enjoy the media in question? How it scares people away? How it drains their joy because they have to navigate through wars that don’t have to exist?

This exact behavior from a specific fandom is the reason why i had to take a break from tumblr recently, and honestly? It’s the reason why i’ve lost a lot of inspiration to do any art at all. With any media I like. Because I’m still freaked out from what happened. And I know I’m not alone. And that pisses me off.
