it’s 2017 and i still can’t get over the fact that skyrim starts off immediately with you having to choose sides between white nationalists and imperialists who were about to execute you and help one of those groups dominate the region
chad fallout new vegas: lets you choose between 3 nuanced factions with various pros and cons, or, if you don’t like any of them, to vie for an independent vegas
virgin skyrim: forces you to choose between xenophobic racists and imperialists being controlled by a shadow counsel for a quest line second only in importance to the main story

You can say a lot of things about Skyrim’s writing but “My ancestors are smiling at me, Imperial. Can you say the same?” is a raw fucking thing to say when you’re about to be killed
