And like… do any of you realize how damaging this behavior is to people who just want to enjoy the media in question? How it scares people away? How it drains their joy because they have to navigate through wars that don’t have to exist?
This exact behavior from a specific fandom is the reason why i had to take a break from tumblr recently, and honestly? It’s the reason why i’ve lost a lot of inspiration to do anyartat all. With any media I like. Because I’m still freaked out from what happened. And I know I’m not alone. And that pisses me off.
Love it when someone has no conversational skills whatsoever so they just make every conversation about memes, kinks, or some cartoon they care too much about.

Boy, it sure would be nice if Nintendo could please just actually re-release their old games that people want so they don’t have to rely on piracy to play them due to scalpers driving up value straight into the stupidly overpriced zone!

Oh, you mean the virtual console that the Switch isn’t going to have? You mean the Wii virtual console that’s going to completely close down along with the rest of the Wii Shop and therefore no longer be accessible?
The mini NES and the mini SNES? You mean those things that were not only limited to just a handful of games, but were released in such little quantities that they immediately got swiped by scalpers who then resold them for $300?
None of those games look like Radiant Dawn or Mother 3 to me. They look like games that were already released in the West and not Japan-exclusive (except Earthbound Beginnings admittedly), and were already popular enough that they could pretty easily be found at decent prices. Meanwhile Radiant Dawn is sold for over $100 used even disc-only, and Mother 3 is still a Japan exclusive.
So people turn to emulators due to the fact those games aren’t even distributed by Nintendo anymore, BUT OH WAIT! Nintendo strikes these down whenever they can!
